CRUHSD’s Dirk Moore is August “WAVE Outstanding Work” recipient!

Our August WOW award winner was Dirk Moore. Along with his other duties this summer of maintaining buildings, he also completed a major project in the Tiny T-birds Center. The request for an additional sink and toilet to better meet needs of students uncovered a serious plumbing problem. Dirk jack-hammered a hole and trench in the middle of the center this summer, corrected the plumbing issue, and then put the floor back together again. He installed a new restroom and diapering area in the center and patched and closed off some walls.  He has spent endless hours on his knees. This was a huge undertaking and we are very pleased to have this work completed.

Dirk was unable to be present and the award was accepted on his behalf by Cristie Crow, Board Member, Gina Covert, CRUHSD CTE/Counseling Director and Amy, West, WAVE JTED Superintendent.
